Drivers and journalists have posted accounts of what it is like to deliver packages. We must also consider the larger picture: parcel delivery companies and their last mile delivery services. There have been lawsuits and OSHA incidents with which to contend.

The week’s background readings provide recent articles on insurance issues, injuries, and associated legal disputes. Find at least one other recent resource for support. For your post:

• Discuss the implication of these legal trends in last mile logistics.
• Based on research, provide information on two top legal issues (other than employee vs. gig worker status) facing last mile delivery.
• Using the resource beyond this week’s readings, provide a real-world example of a U.S.-based company that is looking to address the legal implications. (The article should be less than two years old.)
