Capstone Change Project Evaluation Plan
The strategic plan to implement multimodal interventions to reduce burnout in nurses included objectives to increase quality care, satisfaction in nurses, patients’ satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-management, better scheduling, nurse to patient ratio, and decrease burnout in nurses, health care errors, and cost of health care (ALmutairi & El.Mahalli, 2020).
One of the first step in the strategic plan is to compare the statistical data related to nurses’ perception, number of health care committed by the nurses, cost associated with the errors, and other details pre and post intervention in a t-test to identify significance of the improvement (Magtibay et al., 2017). Further, using surveys and questionnaire post intervention to obtain data related to the impact of increased nurse to patient ratio on burnout in nurses, response of the nurses to the stress management programs, and their perception related work culture or environment will be helpful in evaluating the outcome (ALmutairi & El.Mahalli, 2020).

The next step is to assess quality of care increased by identifying performances of the nurses and how effectively they are practicing (Magtibay et al., 2017). One of the ways to determine the quality of care is to check the turnover rate of nurses and throughput of every unit every month and compare the results (Wei et al., 2017). Further, analyzing patient satisfaction level also highlights whether the implemented strategies and interventions led to better outcome (ALmutairi & El.Mahalli, 2020).
